The Saudi Bank of Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells
The Saudi Bank of Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells (SBiPSCs) is a national initiative advancing stem cell research and regenerative medicine in Saudi Arabia. Based at KAIMRC, SBiPSCs banks iPSC lines derived from Saudi patients with extremely rare or common genetic disorders to support drug discovery efforts nationally and globally. In addition, SBiPSCs generates iPSC lines from healthy Saudi donors whose HLA types match a significant portion of the population, creating a foundation for the development of future cutting-edge cellular therapies.
